Why not just ask a chatbot, or read a blog?

Is this written by AI?
Yes, and we would rather say so than have you find out. A language model writes it against a fixed structure we impose — it returns the sections above as data rather than prose, so the layout is ours, and the day count is checked against your real dates rather than trusted. Every guide then goes through a house-style pass that rejects travel-brochure vocabulary and asks for it again.
What that buys you is a guide written to your trip, in a minute, for $0.99. What it does not buy you is somebody who has been there. If that is what you want, buy a Lonely Planet — we mean that.
What if something in it is wrong?
Tell us and we will fix it or refund you. That is [email protected], and it is a person. Opening hours and prices move, and no guide of any kind is exempt from that, so treat those as a starting point rather than a promise.
Can I get a refund?
If the guide is faulty, is about the wrong place, or never arrives: yes. Because it is written the moment you pay, you are asked at the till to agree to immediate delivery — which is what gives up the statutory 14-day right to change your mind. That is the law for digital goods, it is spelled out in full in our Terms, and it does not touch the guarantee above.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts and no passwords on this site. You get a private link to your guide, and the same link arrives by email.
Will it work for somewhere small?
It should. We resolve against the full GeoNames register — every populated place on earth, some 4.3 million of them, villages included. And if the name you type belongs to more than one place, we stop and ask which you meant rather than guessing, because a guide to the wrong Springfield is worth nothing.
Can I print it at home?
That is what it is for. A4, printable on both sides, page numbers along the bottom. It reads perfectly well on a phone too.
Can I have it in another language?
Yes — you choose on the next screen and the whole guide is written in it. The local phrases stay in the local language, with their meanings translated into yours.
